Specialist sensors

We have an extensive range of specialist add on sensors which we link to your Selwood Lifeline. You can choose what sensors will help you live as independently as you can in your own home. The sensors are monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In case of an emergency, people are notified of a situation and come to your aid without you having to call for help.

Incontinence sensor
Enuresis or bladder control is estimated to affect 15% of people over the age of 65 years. It is a problem which can be really distressing so it is important to be able to find the right care as quickly as possible. Instead of having someone check in on you every couple of hours in the night, this method allows you to relax without regular intervention.

Epilepsy sensor
This sensor monitors you whilst you sleep. It monitors your movement and can tell the difference between normal movements and epileptic seizures. The sensor has no weight restrictions and is suitable for both adults and children.

Sensory impairment
Our sensory impairment solutions make the most of the full range of Selwood Lifeline add ons. They work with your Selwood Lifeline to alert you when an alarm has been raised. Both pagers and visual alerts are available.

Pillow alert pad
The pillow alert sensor connects to your DDA pager, upon detecting you rise from your bed it signals for the lights to come on. Once you have left your bed it monitors how long you are absent from your bed, if you do not return within the predefined time then it will signal your Selwood Lifeline unit to connect to the call centre for assistance.

Wrist pager
The wrist pager is a convenient device designed with comfort in mind. It is small and to be worn like a watch. When a Selwood Lifeline sensor is activated, the pager will vibrate and light up the appropriate image to inform you of the type of call you are receiving.
